server<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Little Systems developed the <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\">SchoolWebsites.net.au WordPress theme<\/a> (CSS).\u00a0 \u00a0The theme is a <a href=\"https:\/\/en-gb.wordpress.org\/themes\/twentysixteen\/\">TwentySixteen<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/codex.wordpress.org\/Child_Themes\">child theme<\/a>, constructed from a professional Photoshop design by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.digitaldevelopments.com.au\/\">Digital Developments<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"implementinga\">Implementing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/littlesystems.com.au\/services\/code\/\">Little Systems code<\/a>, including Application server-side administration scripts, and proprietary WordPress plugins (LS WP MU and LS WP Awstats).<\/p>\n<p>The service is currently used by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toolangips.vic.edu.au\/\">Toolangi Primary School<\/a>, with a basic theme developed by Little Systems.<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"visiona\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/vision\/\">vision<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/technology\/\">technology<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/website-design\/\">website design<\/a>\u00a0strategy<\/h5>\n<h6>Vision<\/h6>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/vision\/\">vision<\/a> for <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\">SchoolWebsites.net.au<\/a> is to enable school technicians to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/\">Create<\/a>\u00a0and centrally administer multiple WordPress websites for multiple schools,<\/li>\n<li>Assign\u00a0and manage WordPress roles for\u00a0internal school users,<\/li>\n<li>Delegate\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/website-design\/\">website design<\/a>\u00a0and general\u00a0consulting to\u00a0third-parties,<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the shared public\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/wiki.schoolwebsites.net.au\/\">Wiki<\/a>, and<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development of WordPress plugins for the whole network, through the School Websites\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/technology\/#developmentenvironment\">module and theme development environment<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6>Technology<\/h6>\n<p>To support the <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/vision\/\">vision<\/a>, Little Systems has integrated a range of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/technology\/\">technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h6>Website Design<\/h6>\n<p>The SchoolWebsites.net.au\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/website-design\/\">website design<\/a> strategy is to use WordPress\u00a0core themes (such as TwentySeventeen and TwentySixteen), and to apply\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/website-design\/#increasingcustomisation\">increasing\u00a0customisation<\/a>\u00a0through the WordPress user-interface.<\/p>\n<p>CSS is to then be used when the user-interface options are insufficient.<\/p>\n<p>Last, professional customisation is supported with the <a href=\"https:\/\/schoolwebsites.net.au\/about\/technology\/#developmentenvironment\">module and theme development environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h5 id=\"historya\">History<\/h5>\n<p>Little Systems has supported websites for education in Victoria since 1999.<\/p>\n<p>Little Systems developed <a href=\"https:\/\/littlesystems.com.au\/blog\/2017\/06\/26\/page-builder-express-proprietary-cms\/\">Page Builder Express<\/a> from 1999 to 2001: a complete commercial PHP content management system, used by 10+ schools and a university department.<\/p>\n<p>See the <a accounting with Request Tracker ticketing system for a medium-sized manufacturing firm<\/h2>\n<p>Little Systems constructed the <a href=\"https:\/\/littlesystems.com.au\/blog\/2018\/02\/24\/myob-odbc-bridge-to-linux\/\">MYOB ODBC Bridge to Linux<\/a>, to interface data from Windows to Linux for a medium-sized manufacturing firm.<\/p>\n<p>The system comprised a server on Windows (with IIS, PHP, ODBC and XML), and a client on Linux (with Perl).\u00a0 Little Systems then integrated the Windows data with the Linux web
