Little Systems owns and administers the SchoolWebsites.net.au<\/a> WordPress multisites service, released to schools in early 2017.<\/p>\n The service runs on Little Systems WordPress server<\/a>.<\/p>\n Little Systems developed the SchoolWebsites.net.au WordPress theme<\/a> (CSS).\u00a0 \u00a0The theme is a TwentySixteen<\/a> child theme<\/a>, constructed from a professional Photoshop design by Digital Developments<\/a>.<\/p>\n The SchoolWebsites.net.au<\/a> service implements Little Systems code<\/a>, including Application server-side administration scripts, and proprietary WordPress plugins (LS WP MU and LS WP Awstats).<\/p>\n The service is currently used by Toolangi Primary School<\/a>, with a basic theme developed by Little Systems.<\/p>\n The vision<\/a> for SchoolWebsites.net.au<\/a> is to enable school technicians to:<\/p>\n To support the vision<\/a>, Little Systems has integrated a range of\u00a0technology<\/a>.<\/p>\n The SchoolWebsites.net.au\u00a0website design<\/a> strategy is to use WordPress\u00a0core themes (such as TwentySeventeen and TwentySixteen), and to apply\u00a0increasing\u00a0customisation<\/a>\u00a0through the WordPress user-interface.<\/p>\n CSS is to then be used when the user-interface options are insufficient.<\/p>\n Last, professional customisation is supported with the module and theme development environment<\/a>.<\/p>\n Little Systems has supported websites for education in Victoria since 1999.<\/p>\n Little Systems developed Page Builder Express<\/a> from 1999 to 2001: a complete commercial PHP content management system, used by 10+ schools and a university department.<\/p>\n See the Page Builder Express<\/a>\u00a0features, history, screenshots and example sites.<\/p>\n In 2015, Little Systems developed and released an Open Source working-prototype Builder Express<\/a>\u00a0user interface plugin for WordPress, based on the design of the Page Builder Express<\/a> interface.<\/p>\n The theme runs on Little Systems WordPress server<\/a>.<\/p>\n The Organisation theme<\/a>\u00a0implements Little Systems code<\/a>, including Interface Server and Application administration scripts, and proprietary WordPress plugins (LS WP MU, LS WP Awstats, LS WP Contact, LS WP Featured Post, LS WP Slideshow, LS WP Google Calendar and LS WP Interface).<\/p>\n The system is integrated with the Google Calendar API, and has a local cache, and handles OAuth2 handshake and push notifications.<\/p>\n The website is updated through the Google Calendar website or mobile phone app.<\/p>\n Changes to calendar events appear immediately on the website.<\/p>\n Example site, https:\/\/organisation.instantidentity.littlesystems.com.au<\/a>.<\/p>\n Little Systems constructed the MYOB ODBC Bridge to Linux<\/a>, to interface data from Windows to Linux for a medium-sized manufacturing firm.<\/p>\n The system comprised a server on Windows (with IIS, PHP, ODBC and XML), and a client on Linux (with Perl).\u00a0 Little Systems then integrated the Windows data with the Linux web application, with Perl (Mason), SQL, HTML and JavaScript code.<\/p>\n See the\u00a0MYOB ODBC Bridge to Linux<\/a>\u00a0page for sample code, screenshots, and download.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Full-stack development of SchoolWebsites.net.au Implementing\u00a0Little Systems code The vision, technology and website design\u00a0strategy History Google Calendar (API) integration with WordPress multisites: the Organisation theme Implementing\u00a0Little Systems code Systems integration of MYOB accounting with Request Tracker ticketing system for a medium-sized manufacturing firm Full-stack development of SchoolWebsites.net.au Little Systems owns and administers the SchoolWebsites.net.au WordPress multisites … Continue reading Examples<\/span> Implementing\u00a0Little Systems code<\/a><\/h5>\n
